Matthew

A Daughter Restored and a Woman Healed

9
Chapter 9
18 While he was saying these things to them, a ruler came, worshiped him, and said, "My daughter has just now died; but come, place your hand on her, and she will live." 19 Jesus got up and followed him, with his disciples. 20 And a woman who had been hemorrhaging blood for twelve years came up from behind and touched the tassel of his garment. 21 For she was saying to herself, "If only I touch his garment, I will be saved." 22 But Jesus turned and saw her. He said, "Take courage, daughter; your faith has saved you." And the woman was saved from that hour. 23 And when Jesus came into the ruler's house and saw the flute players and the tumultuous crowd, 24 he said, "Go away, for the girl has not died but is sleeping." And they ridiculed him. 25 But when the crowd had been put out, he went in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose. 26 And this report went out into all that land.
